2009 05 14-17 CNVC Office Report

Office Report - Board of Directors In Person Meeting May 14-17, 2009

(Danielle Beenders and Miguel Guzmán are the Office Staff representatives until July 2009)

•       CNVC is looking at CEUs and the possibility to offer them in all 50
states

•       The office receives a lot of Gratitudes and wants to share this
feedback with the community at large and considering how we want
to do that

•       All computers in the office have been upgraded to Microsoft
Professional plus 2007. One of the reasons is to keep up to date with
documents received from outside the office that are made in this new
software

•       Office Hours Change - current hours are 9AM - 5PM MST Monday –
Friday

•       Elin Skappel is now Marshall's future scheduler. We want to express
our gratitude to Barbara Larson for her work as Marshall’s previous
future scheduler, it was a pleasure to work with her

•       2007 Annual Report is finished

•       2008 Annual Report work in progress, all departments are gathering
statistics.

•       The Office reviews the feedback submitted through the feedback
forms on the website weekly, so far there has not been much.

•       Bookstore has added Justine Mol’s book and the magnetic GROK to
it’s inventory. Hopes to add more materials soon, like Mel Sears book
and getting Marshall’s cassette tapes on CD.

•       Danielle will be going on maternity leave mid august-September

•       Dee is moving from full-time status to part-time beginning this
summer.

•       Looking to add another team member to the group.

•       Danielle is slowly letting go of the IIT Department and getting into
TTE (Trainer Team Event) coordinator

•       Elin is getting trained in the IIT Department and will be taking over
the IIT department

•       The Albuquerque June IIT is getting higher enrollment then the
February one. Both Switzerland IITs is full.

•       Half the staff has been part of meetings to get clarity on what tools
(yahoo-groups, in-house access database, website) are best to use for
different kinds of communication to and with the certified trainers.

•       The newsletter is an ongoing request we receive at the office and we
have a pending request to the LT to give us clarity about the status of
our newsletter availability.

•       New online trainer report form in the process of being tested for
usability friendliness and kinks in the system; we hope to have it
available in English, German and French sometime in the coming
weeks for the collection of 2008 Trainer Reports.  We hope this new
mechanism will allow for more ease, clarity, consistency and joy for
those submitting their trainer reports, and also for those who read
them.

•       The trainer agreement and checklist for renewal are in the process of
being updated/modified.  Once it is ready, we’ll contact all CNVC
Certified Trainers for our renewed agreements.  All trainers’ status’
will be upheld through the date of our ‘requested by’ date for the new
trainer agreement checklist (TBA), when it becomes available.
